Drug Analysis Laboratory (DAL) Forensic Chemist I
The incumbent is assigned to the Drug Analysis Laboratory where he/she conducts qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses, microscopic, chromatographic, and instrumental analyses of evidence submitted by law enforcement personnel. The analytical work involves contact with biohazards and exposure to chemical solvents and reagents. Employee will prepare summary findings and analytical reports and is required to appear as an expert witness in court.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Chemistry, Forensic Science, or other Physical Science related field including at least twenty-four (24) semester hours in Chemistry.
