Prospective students

Students considering the forensic science undergraduate program should have a strong background in the natural, physical and mathematical sciences and a willingness to involve themselves deeply in both chemistry and biology.

Applicants should demonstrate maturity and an enthusiasm for learning and exploration and commitment to appropriate personal choices and behavioral expectations.

Once you have been accepted for admission into VCU, there are no additional requirements to meet in order to major in forensic science.

Prospective Transfer Students should consult the transfer pathways put into place by the VCU Transfer Center that recommend the Associate of Science in Science and pay special attention to the recommended courses for prospective Forensic Science majors outlined in the appropriate document.

Students taking courses at an Institution outside VCU should consult the Course Equivalency Table.  IB, AP, and other sources of credit are addressed in the VCU Undergraduate Bulletin.

Current VCU students wishing to change their major should register to attend a Change of Major Workshop at http://go.vcu.edu/changetofrsc
